The Center for Innovation in Teaching & Learning is dedicated to promoting, enhancing, and assessing teaching effectiveness and student learning. We assist faculty, academic units, and teaching assistants in improving instruction. In addition to the events listed below, we are always available for individual consultations or special activities within a department or college. Most of the workshops count toward CITL certificate program continuing education credit. Please check back often to see what events have been added. Yes, SafeAssign “detects plagiarism” but how does it work and what are its limitations? How can you use it in non-punitive ways so students can improve their own writing? Here you will learn best practices for using this commonly misunderstood tool.

The first portion of each session is dedicated to solving common instructor scenarios while the remaining time is dedicated to answering your specific questions. Sessions are held in an “office hours” format to accommodate your schedule’s needs and registration is not required.
