100 STRONG: Your Home Away From Home

100 STRONG is a dynamic mentoring, leadership, and engagement program designed to help students thrive academically, socially, professionally, and personally at the University of Illinois. Whether you are a first-year student (freshman or transfer) looking for guidance or an upper-class student ready to lead and give back, 100 STRONG provides a powerful community dedicated to success.

Through meaningful peer-to-peer connections, mentorship, leadership development, career exploration, and community engagement, students gain the support and resources needed to navigate campus life with confidence. Participants build lasting relationships, discover opportunities for involvement, connect with campus resources, and develop the skills needed to excel both at Illinois and beyond.

  • Gain access to career development experiences and networking opportunities.
  • Find a supportive community that celebrates your success and helps you overcome challenges.

  • Make a lasting impact on the Illinois experience of newer students.
  • Develop leadership, coaching, and communication skills.
  • Share your knowledge, experiences, and campus insights.
  • Help build a stronger, more connected Black student community.
