Each qualitative research project requires a unique combination of analysis strategies in order to move from data to answers to your research question. But given the diversity of data types and questions explored with qualitative data, how do you decide what to do?
This workshop offers an introduction to qualitative data analysis (QDA) strategies, a framework for choosing relevant strategies, and an overview of the technology for QDA.
By the end of the workshop, we hope you'll be able to:
1) Identify 1-2 strategies for analyzing qualitative data for your own research project OR describe 1-2 commonly used strategies for QDA in qualitative research projects
2) Describe at least 1 element of your project that shapes how you will decide which strategies to use for a project.
3) Identify technology that could facilitate your qualitative research project.See slides and a recording of a previous version of this workshop.
Request a version of this workshop for your research team or class by contacting Jess Hagman (jhagman@illinois.edu).
This workshop will be in-person in Library 314 and will not be recorded. An online version of this workshop will be offered on Thursday, February 12 which will be recorded.
