General Events

Inspired by and designed to be presented in midcentury modern spaces, Anna Sapozhnikov's Good House Keep is a dance work that analyzes and interprets how movement can evoke a sense of place, evaluates a cultural movement from the past, and challenges how audiences view and interact with movement as it intersects with architecture. The work aims to bring art into the Champaign Urbana and surrounding communities by offering free and accessible performances/presentations, in museums, at local parks, on the University of Illinois campus, and at historic midcentury modern homes. Each performance offers a different view or version of the work, sometimes including live performance, other times thru video installation.
