The Red Oak Rain Garden Extension team presents its second annual Illuminating Art in Nature from 4:30 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 30, welcoming the community to campus for an autumnal celebration!

Hosted in partnership witH University Housing, the College of Fine and Applied Arts, the Institute for Sustainability, Energy, and Environment (iSEE), Facilities & Services, and Champaign County Design and Conservation Foundation, Illuminating Art in Nature is designed to spark curiosity while highlighting sustainability.

This free, family-friendly event brings together imagination and environmental education in a magical setting. Centered around student talent, it features art installations, glowing jack-o’-lanterns, caricature drawings, a craft table, apple cider, and an interactive educational fair! Jack-o'-lantern lighting and judging will begin at sundown.

The event is an iSEE Certified Green Event! The Red Oak Rain Garden is a project of Illinois Extension and Illinois-Indiana Sea Grant staff within the College of ACES.
