In this session, you will consider the constraints your course might be operating under. Is it part of a larger curriculum? Does your department, college, university, or accreditor require specific outcomes for the course? What are your students likely to expect from your course? You will then determine what limits that might place on your course design. But remember, constraints inspire creativity.
This workshop is part of the CITL Summer Course Design Series. You do not have to attend the entire series to attend this workshop, but we do think you'll have the best experience if you attend most or all of the workshops.
This series is designed so that each hour-long session within the series features a 15-20 minute overview of the topic followed by dedicated work time on your course with Lucas and the Grad Affiliates on hand to help. You will actually be making progress on your course during each session!
This workshop counts towards the Graduate Teacher Certificate, the Certificate in Foundations of Teaching, or the Teacher Scholar Certificate.
