Family hikes at Allerton are always a good idea! But if the idea of venturing out alone is a little overwhelming, join in for one of our guided Family Friendly Hikes on select Saturdays between June and September. Led by Visitor Center Coordinator Sarah Putman, the hikes will focus on enjoying the natural world without worrying about making too much noise or taking up too much space. Need a stop for water? Don’t we all! Missed a bird sighting to keep your kiddo out of that patch of poison ivy? Totally valid!
Family-friendly hikes will be held:
—June 8 (8-9 a.m.) on the Orange Trail. Meet at the Main Parking Lot
—July 13 (8-10 a.m.) on the Pink/Teal Trails. Meet at the Main Parking Lot
—August 10 (8-10 a.m.) on the Green Trail. Meet at the Lost Garden Parking Lot
—Sept. 14 (8-10 a.m.) on the Yellow Trail. Meet at the McCraw Family Visitor Center
$5/person (5 & under free). Register here. Space is limited and all sales are final.
