Science on Tap is a monthly seminar series that brings scientists to the public to talk about their research in an informal setting.

Sameh Tawfick is a Professor, Mechanical Science and Engineering, University of Illinois. Kinetic Materials possess unusual internal dynamics during manufacturing or during use. In Tawfick's lab they are interested in science-based manufacturing research based on self-curing, self-organization, and novel 3D printing. They study mechanical behavior which leverages geometry, actuation, morphing, micro-architecture, bio-inspired and robotic systems, and nonlinear dynamics responses.
