Title: Volume polynomials

Continuing the second lecture, I will formulate several general conjectures concerning volume polynomials associated with convex bodies and projective varieties. These polynomials form a distinguished class of Lorentzian polynomials. I will provide an overview of the theory of Lorentzian polynomials and discuss its relationship to volume polynomials. The talk will be accessible to general mathematical audience. Based on joint work with Petter Brändén.
