Title: “Accessing Generalized Parton Distributions from Lattice QCD”

Abstract: Generalized parton distributions (GPDs) provide a framework for accessing the three-dimensional structure of the proton, encoding correlations between the spatial and momentum distributions of quarks and gluons. They are central to understanding how fundamental properties of the proton, such as its spin and internal dynamics, emerge from the underlying theory of strong interactions.

In this talk, I will present recent progress in the determination of proton GPDs from first principles using lattice QCD. I will focus on approaches that enable access to their x-dependence, based on the computation of non-local matrix elements and their analysis within Large Momentum Effective Theory and Short Distance Factorization formalisms. Particular emphasis will be given on the interplay between theory and numerical simulations, including the role of Lorentz-covariant parameterizations and asymmetric kinematics.
