As we navigate the world, our visual experience is dynamically informed by our memory of the surrounding environment. Using a combination of fMRI, voxel-scale modeling, and immersive virtual reality, I describe organizational and functional mechanisms that facilitate the interaction between perceptual and mnemonic representations.
