Lecture/discussion: Recent Challenges to Fluoride and Fluoridation: What to Tell Students and Patients

Learning Objectives:
- Identify recent federal and state challenges to community water fluoridation and the use of fluoride dental products.
- Describe the strength of evidence supporting claims of adverse effects of fluoride exposure in the United States.
- List at least 3 points to communicate with dental students and patients regarding the safety of fluorides.
