Title: The motivic filtrations of BMS19

Abstract: It is well known that the algebraic K theory spectrum of a smooth quasi-projective scheme admits a filtration with graded piece given by motivic cohomology, which can also be identified with Chow groups. In [BMS19], Bhatt, Morrow, and Scholze proved an analog of this filtration on topological Hochschild homology and its variants (for all rings!). In this talk, we will discuss this result. We will start from the basics. No knowledge of THH will be assumed.
