Overview

As each decade closes and another begins, comments and thoughts continue about what makes a generation unique. Understanding what each generation has experienced helps when interacting with others. Educational techniques, community social gatherings, and acceptable basic behaviors are different for each generation. Statistics, historical events, and changes in verbiage are just pieces of the defining characteristics of each birth cohort. For example, when stories of Generation X were first told, they were high on drama but low on facts.

About Faith Bresnan Roberts, RN, MSN, NEA-BC

Faith holds an MSN in Nursing Leadership and Hospital Administration. She has practiced nursing, including direct clinical care in mental health, home health, acute care, skilled nursing, and community health. She has over three decades of leadership experience as a manager, director, and executive director in Rehabilitation, Obstetrics, Pediatrics, and NICU. 

Faith worked as the Executive Director for Professional Practice at the Carle Health System in Urbana, achieving three successful Magnet designations and one Pathway to Excellence designation. She has been a professional speaker for decades and has published articles on topics including Generations, Stroke, Traumatic Brain Injury, Spirituality, Sexuality, Compassion Fatigue, Critical Thinking, Leadership, and Magnet.
