Abstract:This workshop will focus on networking strategies for graduate students. It address a range of networking topics, including develop elevator pitches, attending networking events, and using LinkedIn for networking. Participants will learn what to expect in each of these networking situations, as well as strategies for navigating them.
Bio:Derek Attig is Assistant Dean for Career and Professional Development in the Graduate College. Derek has been working in this field for ten years, prior to which they earned a PhD in History from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
