Title: Weighted Euler Characteristic and Localization for Hilbert Scheme of Points
Speaker: Zijing Ye
Abstract: I will first give a short review of the localization theory mentioned in my talk last semester, and give some examples of localization of Hilbert schemes of points from a combinatoric perspective for motivation. Then I will introduce Kai Behrend's weighted Euler characteristic. Combined with the symmetric obstruction theory mentioned last week, results on the virtual numbers of Hilbert schemes of points will be given at the end.
