Title: Rigidity in Algebraic K-theory
Abstract: Due to the difficult nature of computing the algebraic K-theory groups directly, one often has to find and exploit various properties of these groups in order to understand them. One of these properties is rigidity, which gives conditions for when maps between rings induce isomorphisms between the corresponding groups. In this talk, we will explore this notion, beginning with the first of such results given by Andrei Suslin, and ending with more modern evolutions of such statements.
