This Q&A Session on Zoom provides an opportunity for veterinary students who just completed either first or second year of the DVM program to learn about the college's Summer Research Training Program. Attendance at the Zoom session is not required to apply for the program.
The 10-week Summer Research Program - Veterinary Medicine at Illinois provides the opportunity to conduct a research project under the direction of a faculty mentor. A seminar series presents information about careers for veterinarian scientists in academia, industry, and government. The program accepts students who have no prior research experience as well as those with extensive research experience.
Students attend the Veterinary Scholars Symposium at the end of the summer to present their work. This year's symposium will be held in Minneapolis, Minn., on August 8-10, 2024.
