Boxed lunch, especially for cancer and biomedical researchers at Illinois, and a demonstration of how the TrueBeam® can be useful in basic cancer research, such as the irradiation of experimental cell lines or mouse models.
2:00 pm Linear Accelerator Dedication
The official ribbon-cutting ceremony and placement of a commemorative time capsule, especially for college and campus leaders who made this acquisition possible.
3:00 pm Linear Accelerator Open House
Refreshments and a chance to view the new linear accelerator wing for everyone.
5:00 pm Specialists Reception
Wine and cheese and a demonstration of some unique applications of the TrueBeam® linear accelerator for patient care, especially for regional veterinarians with an oncology/radiation focus.
