Gravitational wave observations over the past decade have opened up new avenues for testing general relativity (GR). In the next decade (or two), third generation detectors will allow for higher precision GR tests. I will discuss some recent work relevant to this area, including: (i) quantifying systematic bias in GR tests, (ii) developing GR tests for eccentric binaries, and (iii) testing GR via measurements of black hole kicks.
