Abstract: The L-space conjecture predicts a deep connection between Heegaard Floer homology and co-oriented taut foliations. For a positive L-space knot $K \subset S^3$, surgeries along slopes $r < 2g(K)-1$ produce non-L-spaces. If the conjecture holds, these manifolds are expected to admit co-oriented taut foliations. Most known positive L-space knots arise as closures of positive braids. In this talk, I will describe a construction of taut foliations in this setting.
