Why LLMs are BFD.
Abstract: LLMs have already revolutionized the world. I expect it is just the tip of an iceberg.
Bio: Dr. Tomasz Kozlowski received a Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering from Purdue University in 2005, where he worked on spatial homogenization methods for neutron transport calculations, multi-physics RELAP5/PARCS and TRACE/PARCS coupling, and PARCS code development. Following his Ph.D., he worked at the Division of Nuclear Power Safety at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH-NPS) in Stockholm, Sweden. At the University of Illinois, Dr. Kozlowski has worked extensively on BWR spent fuel criticality safety, high-order numerical methods for fluid flow, uncertainty quantification of system codes, multi-physics uncertainty and multi-physics coupling, LWR and MSR load-follow analysis, computational statistics, and Bayesian inverse methods. He has broad expertise in reactor modeling and simulation, transient analysis, reactor behavior and dynamics, code validation, multi-physics coupling, and uncertainty quantification. And apparently now he thinks he knows AI.
