The celebration of the traditional Iranian new year holiday, and is celebrated throughout countries in the Middle East and Central Asia such as in Iran, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Iraq, Armenia, Georgia, Russia, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Syria, and Tajikistan Kurdistan. All of the dates of the Bahá'í calendar are determined by when the equinox occurs in March each year in the city of Tehran, Iran. Bahá'ís observing Naw-Rúz often suspend work and school, and some students or employees may request schedule adjustments in order to observe.
