Welcome to the Facilities & Services Training Calendar. The training provided here represents a broad spectrum of topics that have been vetted and determined to be relevant to professionals in F&S.

Training Requests

We're committed to supporting your growth and success, and we're looking for your input on learning opportunities. If you or your team have a training need, please submit a Facilities & Services Training Request.

Monthly Safety Training

Required monthly safety training sessions are sent to staff directly through the Grainger Learning Management System (GLMS). The GLMS platform allows employees to see their specific training dashboard as well as gives supervisory staff an enhanced way to track and record engagement and completion.

Staff will see emails from alerts_graingerlms@icertainty.com when new trainings are available. You can access GLMS and assigned training at fands.icertainty.com using your netID and password.

For questions regarding monthly safety training, please contact Safety & Compliance at oshs@illinois.edu.

F&S Media Relations’ efforts are critical to helping share F&S information and stories to the campus community, and others within the state, or regionally, and beyond.

Customer Relations & Communications (CRC) provides comprehensive media relations services, including news organization inquiry response, vendor marketing requests, intra-unit communication assistance, crisis communications, website news and alert updates, and social media engagement.

To help you better understand how your work responsibilities and assignments can benefit from this support, CRC is offering a new F&S’ Media Relations Training presentation, followed by a Q&A, that explains how the division can collaborate with you to assist with comprehensive response and development strategies whenever necessary.

The session is open to all team members interested in learning more about these topics. We especially encourage attendance from any team members new to F&S whose responsibilities may involve:

Interacting with accredited media organizations

  • Responding to vendor requests to create multimedia content about campus work
  • Supporting submissions for awards or recognition

The training will include an overview of:

  • F&S Media Relations Policy
  • Campus Administrative Manual site approval and testimonial policies
  • Local media trends and engagement volume
  • CRC's overall media response approach and strategies

External Training Offerings

Many of the training sessions are offered outside of F&S so the registration links will take you directly to the website that is offering the training.
