Mental Health First Aid at Illinois

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Training

November 14 | 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM | In Person

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is an evidence-based certification course that teaches you how to recognize, understand, and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges. Whether someone is experiencing a crisis or showing early warning signs, MHFA gives you the skills and confidence to offer initial support and connect them with care.

The course is eight hours total and includes a short online pre-course component (about 30–45 minutes), a full-day live training session, and a brief online post-course component. All components must be completed to earn certification. Refreshments and a boxed lunch will be provided.
