Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Training
April 23 – April 24, 2026, 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. — Illini Union
Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is an evidence-based certification course that teaches you how to recognize, understand, and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges. Whether someone is experiencing a crisis or showing early warning signs, MHFA gives you the skills and confidence to offer initial support and connect them with care.
The course is eight hours total and includes a short online pre-course component (about 30–45 minutes), a live training session, and a brief online post-course component. Live training is offered either as a full-day session or across two half-day sessions. All components must be completed to earn certification.
