Bike registration is easy and mandatory!
All bicycles on campus must be registered in the University’s new National Bicycle Registration system. Your bicycle is not protected until you attach the registration tag (529 Shield) to your bike. There is a one-time $10 registration fee per bicycle to purchase the Shield. Registering your bicycle will increase the chance of recovering and returning your bicycle in case it is stolen. Learn more about bicycle registration here or go to go.illinois.edu/mybike.
The Registration Fee funds will help sustain the community-wide Project 529 bicycle registration system, contribute towards bicycle program on-campus and administrative costs. Learn the benefits of registering your bicycle with the University’s Project 529 National Bike Registration system.
All bicycle registrants enter a raffle for a chance to win a U-lock or a Helmet. Learn more about the bicycle registration raffle.
