Center for the Study of Global Gender Equity

Welcome to the seventh year of the Women in Science Lecture Series! We are pleased to announce that the lecture series will feature alumnae of the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign for the 2026-2027 academic year. 

Our October lecture will be on Tuesday, October 13, 12-1 PM Central with Professor Kelli Trei. Professor Trei earned her B.S. in Microbiology in 1999 and her MLIS in 2012. She will discuss her background in microbiology and work as liaison to the Schools of Life Sciences: Molecular & Cellular Biology (MCB) and Integrative Biology, (IB) as well as to the Carl R. Woese Institute for Genomic Biology.
