Abstract:
We demonstrate how farmers' production practices change over time. There is remarkable consistency of farming practices across fields and across time. In many cases, that consistency results from a farming plan being implemented in each field. Farmers may make changes to that plan over time, but that plan has rigidities. We will discuss the implications of that rigidity for the information available to farmers. We also discuss how plans implement the adoption of conservation practices.
