Abstract: Quantum computing has seen a rapid surge in interest due to exponential speed ups for certain computational problems. Moreover, tensor networks have emerged as powerful tools in quantum algorithm design because of their ability to compactly represent highly entangled quantum states. In this talk, I present a surprising connection between tensor networks and the AdS/CFT correspondence. I then discuss how this perspective has informed the development of innovative quantum algorithms.
