American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (ASBMB) at Illinois and MCB Graduate Student Association (GSA) are proud to present "On Call: A Fireside Chat with Dr. Anthony Fauci." Dr. Fauci is a world-renowned immunologist and public health expert who served as the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) for nearly four decades, playing a pivotal role in combating infectious diseases such as HIV/AIDS, SARS, Ebola, and COVID-19. Known for his leadership during public health crises, he has been a trusted advisor to seven U.S. presidents and a leading voice in science-based policymaking. One of the world’s highest-cited researchers, Dr. Fauci is a member of the National Academy of Sciences, the National Academy of Medicine, and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
