Religious Observances

Gratitude, Abundance, Fruition. Marking the beginning of harvest season, Lughnasadh or Lammas is a time of both hope and fear. Hope is held for a bountiful harvest and abundant food, but fear persists that the harvest won't be large enough and that the cold months will be filled with struggle and deprivation. At Lughnasad, modern Wiccans face their fears, concentrate on developing their own abilities, and take steps to protect themselves and their homes.
