This talk turns to revolutionary forms of relationality to explore how revolutionary relationships encourage the development of political consciousness and offer an alternative to the hegemonic romance paradigm Doris Sommer describes in Foundational Fictions(1991). By focusing on nonfamilial notions of the nation,
"Latinx Revolutionary Pedagogies" suggests that contemporary literature must revise national history and aesthetic form to open the way for more liberatory, literary futures.
