Exploring AI in Teaching & Learning: Join Our Faculty Panel Discussion

Artificial intelligence (AI) is rapidly transforming the educational landscape, presenting both exciting opportunities and complex challenges for instructors and students alike. As faculty navigate the evolving role of AI in the classroom, many have developed innovative approaches to AI integration, established policies on its fair use, and explored its impact on student learning.

Join us for a panel discussion on AI in Teaching & Learning as part of the ATLAS Seminar Series, where faculty from across LAS and campus will share their experiences, insights, and lessons learned from the use of AI in their courses.

This is a hybrid event. Attendees may participate either in-person or via Zoom.

Meet Our Panelists

This discussion will feature the following faculty members, who bring diverse perspectives on AI’s role in education:

  • Cassandra Rosado (Linguistics)
  • Mary Ton (University Library)
  • Kristi McDuffie (Rhetoric)
  • Christian Ray (Chemistry)
  • Zach Biondi (Philosophy)

Our panelists will discuss teaching students about responsible and ethical AI use in a variety of disciplines, developing academic integrity policies about students' use of AI, and understanding AI's impact on student learning. Attendees will gain valuable insights and have the opportunity to engage in conversation with our panelists.

This seminar is open to all faculty, instructors, and staff interested in AI’s role in higher education. We encourage you to attend, ask questions, and be part of the conversation!

We look forward to seeing you there!
