Keeping your students active, engaged, and motivated is both challenging and essential. Furthermore, there are additional constraints that we must consider when teaching online. In this workshop, we will discuss (i) why student engagement is imperative, (ii) methods and techniques for promoting student engagement, and (iii) ways to assess and improve the level of student engagement in your course throughout the semester.
This workshop is part of the 2020 Summer Workshop Series. Each workshop in the series involves pre-work to complete before attending a Zoom session. Register to be sent the Zoom link for the session and to be informed of the pre-work.
Completing the pre-work and participating in the Zoom session will count for 1.5 hours towards the workshop requirement of the Graduate Teacher Certificate or the Certificate in Foundations of Teaching.
