Community Seminar Series

As women enter midlife, their bodies and needs evolve, but so does their strength and wisdom to shape their own well-being. Join Health & Kinesiology Ph.D. Candidate Alexia P. Hammonds to explore evidence-based strategies for enhancing vitality, supporting longevity, and embracing wellness through exercise, nutrition, and self-care and discuss the natural changes in skin and hair with age and share tips. Whether you're just starting or refining your wellness journey, this is your space to learn how to thrive at every stage of life.

A partnership between the Illinois Extension and the Interdisciplinary Health Sciences Institute, the Community Seminar Series provides educational seminars of interest to the community each fall, spring, and summer, delivered virtually by graduate students and postdoctoral research trainees. The Community Seminar Series covers health topics driven by public interest, helping attendees make healthier choices and overcome public health misinformation.

CEUs through the Continuing Education Institute of Illinois (CEII) are available.
