Submit your projects for the 2025 Community-Academic Scholars Program. This campus-wide program benefits faculty and researchers with community-academic research collaborations by matching them with U of I undergraduate research assistants. If you conduct community-engaged research in partnership with a community organization that addresses issues related to health, poverty, or social inequity, please consider applying. Applications are due by 11:59 p.m. on January 12, 2025.
The 2024 program recently celebrated their community-engaged research and impact in Champaign-Urbana at the Champaign Park District Martens Center. For insights into the researcher experience, please see our discussion with Kevin Tan, a professor of social work who has been an academic mentor with the program since its inception.
