Community-engaged researchers are invited to the first event in the Spring 2024 Community-Engaged Research Series, Navigating the IRB for Community-Engaged Research, on February 28, noon – 1:30 p.m. via Zoom.
Sarah Mumford, Director at the Office of the Protection for Research Subjects, and Kevin Tan, a professor of social work and former IRB member, will lead an interactive discussion of common scenarios, challenges, and considerations that arise when working with the Institutional Review Board (IRB) for community-engaged research. Registrants are encouraged to submit questions and issues they have experienced to help guide the conversation.
The Community-Engaged Research Series aims to build and enhance the experience of community-engaged researchers across campus and provide them with the skills and resources needed to impact research in this space.
