All Illinois researchers are invited to attend a lecture and reception with Annette Fenner, Chief Editor of Nature Reviews Urology, on Tuesday, May 2, at 3 p.m.: “What Editors Want: How to Write and Peer Review Papers.” Attendees will have an opportunity to connect and learn first-hand how to write and position their research to maximize the chances of having it published.

Writing and peer reviewing for journals are skills that take practice, but knowing what journal editors want can give you a head start! In this talk, Dr. Fenner will discuss what editors look for in primary papers and reviews and will offer tips on how to be a better writer and reviewer. This event is sponsored by the Interdisciplinary Health Sciences Institute (IHSI), the Roy J. Carver Biotechnology Center, and the Department of Earth Science & Environmental Change (ESEC).

Please join us for a networking reception immediately following the lecture in the Beckman Institute Atrium. RSVP by April 25 so we can accommodate all attendees during this event.
