Are you a humanities student interested in service and making a positive impact in the community?
Join us for an info session on Tuesday, Feb. 21 at 5 p.m. to learn more about the University of Illinois Humanities in Action (HIA) program.
HIA provides resources and support to undergraduate humanities students (regardless of citizenship status) who are interested in pursuing community engagement opportunities within the Champaign-Urbana community. A partnership between We CU and the Humanities Research Institute (HRI), Humanities in Action Scholars work with a community partner to address a vital area of need in the Champaign-Urbana community.
HIA scholars receive $1,000, training, and support for their participation in this semester-long service program. If you are interested in joining a community of humanists invested in service, apply to be a Fall 2023 Humanities in Action scholar!
During the info session, you will learn more about the program, receive insight into the application process, and hear from a Fall 2022 HIA Scholar. This event will be held in-person at the Levis Faculty Center, Room 424.
