Data sharing accelerates research and discovery, enhances rigor and reproducibility, and is increasingly required by funders. As NIH brings in a new Data Management and Sharing (DMS) Policy on January 25, 2023, we understand that you may be wondering what these changes mean for you, your research, and your data. IHSI's Biostatistics, Epidemiology, and Research Design (BERD) and Research Development cores, in partnership with the Research Data Service, will discuss this new policy, expectations of NIH, who the new DMS policy applies to, and how to comply with it.

She leads education and outreach efforts for the service and is particularly interested in transforming traditional workshops into self-guided learning experiences. She previously worked for the Purdue University Libraries’ data repository where she curated a wide variety of datasets. Sandi earned her M.S. in Library and Information Science with a focus on data curation from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and holds an M.A. in Anthropology and Women’s Studies from Northern Illinois University.
