The Mayo Clinic’s Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) program places undergraduate students from across the nation in a host lab at Mayo Clinic. For 10 weeks, students become fully-immersed in the research and culture of major medical center. Since 2012, five or more SURF fellowships have been exclusively reserved for Illinois students. These SURFs are sponsored through the Mayo Clinic & Illinois Alliance and their home department at Illinois. Illinois pre-selection for the SURF Program is now open.
