- Faculty Development at CITL
Students tend to be a step ahead of faculty with tech, apps and even AI tools. Where the words “AI in the Classroom” may invoke feelings of cheating and ChatGPT generated essays, AI tools can be leveraged for the greater good. AI tools can help students and faculty create and fuel innovation. AI can help faculty better focus time on their mission and goals; automating structural tasks that in the past were time intensive. In this session Presley Fee, Financial Planning Program Coordinator, will join Dr. Craig Lemoine, CFP(R), Financial Planning Program Director, for an innovative exploration of AI tools across financial planning and wealth management classrooms.
The CITL Art of Teaching Friday Forum is a showcase for exploring the art and science of teaching. The series highlights faculty from across the disciplines who are conducting research on their teaching and connecting their findings to classroom practice.
Whether sharing the results of a classroom study, examining emerging trends in higher education, or highlighting effective instructional approaches, each presentation offers data-driven insights that deepen our understanding of student learning and advances the practice of teaching.
Join us online over the lunch hour for inspiring ideas and friendly conversation. The Art of Teaching Friday Forum is presented via Zoom on the first Friday of each month during the Fall and Spring semesters from Noon–1:00 pm.
