The Farms: Foraging for Wild Mushrooms

Join an edible mushroom expert for a scenic and educational trek at Foraging for Wild Mushrooms on select Sundays from 9:30 a.m.-12 p.m. meeting at the Café Patio.

Students will learn to identify various types of wild mushrooms, covering edible, toxic, and hallucinogenic species. Instructor Lee Schuler will discuss seasonality, growth habits, ecosystems, and harvesting sustainability. 

Students will contribute to the Allerton Fungal Species Survey Inventory on iNaturalist and will get the opportunity to taste identified edible species.

$30/person. Register here. Registration will close 2 days prior to each class or when capacity is reached. All sales are final.
