This workshop focuses on giving feedback to students in different kinds of assessments. Whether your courses rely on more traditional multiple-choice exams, or are writing intensives, or assign students creative projects, giving valuable feedback is essential for their growth and learning. We will discuss different features of valuable feedback, and then use the assessments that we discussed in our Assessments Workshop (Workshop #4) to practice giving students feedback at different course/ability levels.
This workshop is part of the CITL Summer Course Design Series. You do not have to attend the entire series to attend this workshop, but we do think you'll have the best experience if you attend most or all of the workshops. This workshop counts towards the Graduate Teacher Certificate, the Certificate in Foundations of Teaching, or the Teacher Scholar Certificate.
