Searching Databases (full-text, indexing & abstracting, & open access) (Session Five)
Many students have used databases in their research. This session aims to broaden their understanding of different types of databases and how they work so that students may use these tools more effectively and efficiently. Participants will gain a better understanding of how databases operate and will leave with some strategies for advanced navigation of these resources.
Introduction to Scholarly Research is a multipart instruction program designed to assist undergraduate and graduate students with the various stages of the research process. It is the goal of these sessions to create a welcoming and supportive environment where students can exchange ideas, share perspectives, get research support, and explore the innumerable possibilities of approaching a subject or a research project. These sessions are open to students from any discipline or academic program.
