Bio

Mayki Gorosito is the former Executive Director of the ESMA Museum and Site of Memory (a former clandestine detention, torture, and extermination center). Prior to that role, she coordinated the international cooperation strategy for the museum’s nomination to the UNESCO World Heritage List, leading the successful process of its inclusion on both the UNESCO list and the MERCOSUR Cultural Heritage List.

She regularly shares her experience in public memory policies through national and international conferences, publications, and training workshops focused on memory, heritage, and the management of memory sites. She currently serves as a member of the Human Rights Organizations Advisory Council of the ESMA Museum and Site of Memory.

She holds a degree in Educational Sciences and has extensive experience in international cooperation and Latin American regional integration. She has worked as a university professor and researcher, as well as in international relations roles within local governments in Argentina and Uruguay. She has also coordinated regional initiatives within MERCOSUR and founded the civil association INCIDIR, dedicated to international cooperation and regional integration.
