Abstract: It has been >10 years since I gave the last seminar, and I now have multiple job changes, promotions, and layoffs under my belt. In this casual talk I'd like to share my thoughts as an experienced insider, geared toward helping prospective job hunters (with a physics background) navigate the semiconductor job market. I will expand on my previous talk on topics such as recent hiring practice trends, common hiring practices, and the pros and cons of different company phenotypes.
Bio: UIUC Physics PhD, 2012 (experimental condensed matter physics), currently Principal Quality Engineer at Arm Inc.
Note: In the talk, I am representing myself. However, I am hiring for an open position. Will host a separate session for general Q&A as well as discussing open positions at Arm
