Sensory processing and sensitivity deficits are closely associated with autism spectrum disorders, but the underlying mechanisms of such associations are unclear. The presentation will describe work in the Razak lab that addresses mechanisms of auditory hypersensitivity, and development of biomarkers and targeted treatments in Fragile X Syndrome, a leading genetic cause of ASD-related symptoms.
