Supply chain network design and optimization is a multifaceted discipline that encompasses the strategic configuration of facilities, distribution networks, and inventory policies. It seeks to maximize efficiency, minimize costs, improve customer service, and enhance overall performance. This process involves complex decision-making influenced by factors such as demand variability, transportation costs, and market dynamics. Mathematical modeling and advanced analytics are instrumental in crafting optimized supply chain networks, allowing organizations to adapt swiftly to changing conditions and gain a competitive edge in today's global marketplace.
Bio:
Kuntal Ghosh is a Senior Consultant with enVista’s Supply Chain Strategy team. He has 7+ years of experience within supply chain management in different roles and industries with focus on network optimization, inventory optimization, strategic sourcing, procurement and strategy development. He is proficient in several modelingand data analytics tools including Llamasoft’s Supply Chain Guru, SQL, MS Excel, Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx and Mercury Gate. Prior to joining enVista in March of 2020, Kuntal was working as a supply chain analyst at GEFCO Inc. He managed MRP and planning system, implemented strategic sourcing, coordinated supply and demand planning and applied analytics to optimize supply, in-stock position, and inventory turns of all SKUs. He also implemented new reporting and analytics tools and developed dashboards to provide visibility and track performance. Kuntal earned his Masters of Science in Industrial Engineering and Management from Oklahoma State University along with a Bachelor of Science in Textile Engineering from University of Dhaka. In addition, Kuntal received a Six Sigma Green Belt certification from the Institute of Industrial Engineers and Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) from American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS). Kuntal also served as President and CSCP instructor at APICS OKC Chapter.
